Letty's POV
I had a permanent scowl on my face as I watched Dom flirt and play nice with the chasers that surrounded him. He had always been a bit of a ladies man, I knew that long before we started dating, but I hadn't been worried. It had only been lately that I noted it getting worse, making me anxious about his behaviour. It was a feeling I wasn't used to when it came to our relationship.
"It's disgusting."
"What is?" I asked Mia, distracted by the sight in front of me.
"My brother. I mean I know he's not the brightest crayon in the box, but surely even he can see that this upsets you." I turned my attention fully to Mia, smiling slightly.
"You'd think." I spoke simply, holding back my more revealing emotions.
"Look I know he's my brother, and I love him I do, but right now I want to strangle him." I let out a small laugh, patting Mia's arm lightly.
"Join the cue." I muttered as I walked over to my car, waiting for Mia to join me. The races were over, nothing too exciting had happened. It was one of those rare nights that the police didn't interrupt; part of me wished they had.
"Are you at least going to say something to him?" She demanded quietly as I opened the car door. I cast a look in Dom's direction, catching his eye as he watched us get in. I broke contact and noted Mia give him a small wave, his only reaction was a nod as we all pulled out of the empty industrial lot.
"What's the use Mia? In all honesty this is him, I knew that long ago. Nothing I say to him is ever going to change that." I spoke honestly.
"Boys suck." She voiced simply causing me to laugh properly. It was such a simple statement but so unlike Mia to say.
"Boys do suck. You know just once I wish I could behave like a boy you know? Go out whenever I want to, not answer messages, not ring back... argh. The list is endless." I muttered making Mia giggle.
"It would certainly be interesting." She agreed and I smiled.
"Yeah, it would." I spoke suddenly distracted. I frowned as noticed Dom and the boys slow down a little from the rear view mirror. I flicked my eyes to Mia and noted she was frowning about the same thing.
"What are they doing?" She asked just as bewildered as me. I shrugged not having an answer but it was answered a moment later. Dom honked his horn at me, twice, before all four cars turned off in a completely different direction.
"Where the hell are they going?" I asked out loud as I had no choice but to continue heading home. I couldn't turn back on this road and even if I could they would be out of sight before I got down the street.
"I think we just got ditched." Mia muttered as she sat back in the seat, one arm resting on the window ledge as she rested her head on her hand. I felt my jaw tense, I was feeling more annoyed with Dom with each passing second.
"Letty what are you doing?" She asked as I took one hand off the wheel, searching my pockets for my phone. I let out a grunt as I fished it out awkwardly, holding it up at face level. Flipping it open I pressed one, immediately speed dialling Dom's mobile. Holding it to my ear I continued to drive down the road, growling in anger when his phone rang out to voice mail.
"He is driving." Mia offered weakly after I threw my phone, none too gently, onto her lap. I scowled and gave her a look.
"When has that ever stopped him from picking up his phone? He's just ignoring me." I muttered listening as Mia sighed sadly. The rest of the car ride to the house was filled with complete silence, Mia knowing that I was in no mood to talk.
"You know what?" she asked suddenly as I pulled into the driveway.
"What?" I muttered
"We need to drown our sorrows with a girly night." She spoke with an air of finality. I gave her my hell-no look but she shook her head not listening to it. I held back my groan, thinking the idea through. I figured it wouldn't be such a bad idea so I reluctantly agreed. As long as I had a drink in my hand the whole time, I didn't care what else Mia had in store for me.
One hour later
"Still no luck?" Mia asked sadly as I slammed my phone closed yet again for what seem like the hundredth time in the past hour. No one was answering my calls and I was growing more furious as the minutes ticked by.
"No." I snapped as I tossed the phone onto the bed.
I was in mine and Dom's room, where I had gone after arriving home. I had called and called the boys repeatedly while Mia had stayed downstairs doing something in the kitchen. I knew I had easily filled Dom's inbox with voice messages, even more in normal texts, but he still had yet to return my calls.
"I don't think he'd ever cheat Let." Mia spoke softly and I sighed heavily, nodding in agreement.
"Neither do I but I just get so…. frustrated when he does this. I had plans for tonight." I said moodily as I glanced at the clock. The time showing it was after midnight, and I knew from experience he wouldn't be returning home until the early hours of the morning.
"I have just the thing you need." She said to me, turning her head to the side as she looked me over.
"What?" I asked grumpily not in the mood for mind games.
"Come." I groaned, reaching out to snatch up my phone before following the younger Toretto out of my room and into her's.
"Sit. I'll be back." She ordered as I tipped my head back in frustration.
"Mia." I groaned, falling backwards onto her bed.
"Relax, I'll be two minutes. Now stay." She warned as she walked out of the room. I could hear her footsteps on the stairs before it went silent, followed by cupboards opening in the kitchen. With one last glance at my phone, I pushed it aside and grabbed the next nearest thing to keep my mind busy; Mia's girly magazine. I made a face but flipped it open, skimming the pages looking for something to hold my attention. I sighed in annoyance when I came up empty.
"Shots!" Mia announced excitedly as she walked back into the room. I was still lying on her bed flipping uninterestedly through the magazines until she made her announcement. The idea of alcohol was welcoming and I was all for it. Tossing the magazine aside I held my hand out immediately for the shot glass.
"I hope you brought up more than that, cos it ain't going to last long." I said eyeing the half full bottle in her hand.
"There's another couple downstairs. Don't worry we have plenty." She said grinning as she poured out our shots.
"To us." I laughed at her cheesy toast but clinked my glass with hers before downing the shot.
"Hit me again Mia, we're in for a long ass night." I spoke watching as she grinned, hastily pouring out another shot for her then another for me.
Two hours later
"Music time it is then." She spoke in between giggles, flicking on her stereo. I watched as she danced around the room a little, the vodka bottle in one hand and her shot glass in the other. I had upgraded my glass and was still gulping down its contents.
"Okay so I've been thinking." Mia announced suddenly and I looked at her with interest.
"Oh?" I asked looking her over. We were both far from drunk but we did have a nice happy buzz going on. It numbed some of the pain I was feeling, seeing as Dom still had to call back or message me as to where he was.
"Well a song that was on before kinda gave me the idea. You know how you said you wished you could behave like a boy?" I nodded slowly wondering where she was going with this.
"Mmmm… Where are you going with this?" I asked confused.
"Well we both agree Dom needs to realize what's in front of him right?"
"Right." I agreed quietly still trying to understand what her plan might involve. With Mia you just never could tell straight up.
"Well I may just have an idea on how to do just that, and even more a few willing friends that could help us out." I calculated her for a moment before downing the rest of my drink. Placing the glass on the floor beside me I looked back at her thoughtfully as she sat waiting for my answer. Mia had a knack for putting plans together, and they almost always worked out.
"Okay you have me intrigued, I'm listening. What is this grand plan of yours?" I asked wondering what exactly she had in store. She smirked and immediately I knew this was going to be much more interesting then I first thought.
"Let's reverse the roles shall we?" She grinned.
