Rosie Greyson’s office
Dom’s POV
“How are you feeling today Dom?” Rosie asks as I sit opposite her.
“I’ve been better.” I mumble as I run a hand over my face.
“Sleeping?” She asks and I shake my head.
“No.”
“Eating?”
“More like force fed.” I say managing a small smile.
“I know this hard for you but you have to remember this is for Letty.”
“I know. Why do you think I’m sitting here now instead of Sacramento?”
“Have you spoken with her?”
“Not for a few nights. She’s been busy with Maria.” I whisper before I place four sealed envelopes down onto her desk.
“Four?” She asks with a smile.
“One’s Mia’s, one for Vince, the other two are Letty’s. I made a promise to myself to write one a day, it’s been four days since I saw you last. I gave Mia her’s but I asked for it back so I could show you.” I offer with a slight smile.
“Can I keep these?” She asks as she flicks through Mia’s. I nod and she gives me a small smile before tucking them away in my file.
“You’re doing well Dom, don’t think you’re not.”
“I feel like I’m falling apart Rosie, I miss her. I really miss her. I miss Ava, I miss the baby. I got up this morning and I went straight to Ava’s blocks because I wanted to play with her and then I remembered she wasn’t here.” I choke back.
“Have you spoken to your family about how you’re feeling?”
“Mia.” I whisper.
“And what does she think?”
“She thinks I’m being to hard on myself.” I roll my eyes.
“But you don’t think that?”
“No, I think I’m getting exactly what I deserve.” I offer honestly.

Garage
Dom’s POV
“First day of business man, you excited?” Brian asks me as he swings an arm around my shoulder.
“Yeah, hard to believe it’s really finished.” I mutter.
“Brother it wouldn’t be if you hadn’t kept pulling over night stunts every day.” He sighs in disapproval.
“It needed to be done.” I shrug.
“Have you spoken with Letty?” He asks and I shrug.
“Yeah. She’s um got an appointment tomorrow for the baby. She said she’s finding out the gender.”
“Are you going?” He asks carefully.
“She didn’t offer so I didn’t ask.” I whisper.
“Dom, you’re allowed to ask.”
“I know, I know I am but I don’t want to ask and have her say yes because she feels like she has to before she’s actually ready to see me again.”
“Have you told her you miss her?”
“Every damn time I speak to her.” I speak before nodding to Tej and Roman who are about to open the garage doors.

Maria’s house
Letty’s POV
“Hey.” I smile as Dom answers on the first ring.
“Hey yourself. How’s the garage?”
“We got three cars in so better than nothing.”
“It’ll pick up.”
“I know.” He whispers.
“What’s wrong?” I ask worried.
“Nothing, how are you feeling?”
“Tired, nervous, excited. I don’t really know.” I say as I lean back against my pillows.
“What are you nervous about?” He asks softly.
“Tomorrow.” The silence that follows is heavy and I hate it.
“Dom, are you okay?” I ask quietly.
“Are you gunna tell me when you find out?” He whispers and I frown.
“You… you’re not coming?” I ask sadly.
“You didn’t say I could so I thought you didn’t want me there.” He says confused.
“I just thought you’d assume, I’m sorry. Of course I want you there, I need you there, but if you don’t want to come I... I understand.” I whisper.
“No, no damn Letty more than anything I want to be there. You wanted space though and when you told me I just assumed. I should have asked, everyone told me to ask but I thought you didn’t want to see me. I didn’t want to force you to see me.” He whispers and I sniff as I feel tears nearing.
“I’m sorry.” I whisper.
“No baby don’t cry. Please don’t cry, I hate it when I make you upset.” He pleads.
“It’s not you, it’s these damn hormones.” I sniff angrily.
“Okay. Do you want me there? I really want to be there.” He asks and I nod even though he can’t see me.
“Yes, my appointments at three, Mum, Ava and I are driving down tomorrow.” I explain.
“Maria’s coming?” He asks softly.
“Yeah she wanted to be there, and she wouldn’t let me drive down by myself.”
“Maybe I shouldn’t come then.” He whispers sadly.
“What? Why?” I demand.
“Your mother hates me Let and I don’t blame her. I’m the last person she wants to see.”
“She’s promised to be civil and you are coming. I’ll make Mia drag you there myself. You’re the father Dom, you have every right to be there tomorrow, by my side and holding my hand. If she has a problem with it she can take it up with me.” I huff and I frown as I hear his deep chuckle on the other end.
“What’s so funny?” I ask smiling.
“You. You’re cute when you all fired up. I missed that.” He trails off in a whisper and I blush. I can’t help it.
“I’m working on myself. It kind of helps when ma and I butt heads all day long about my issues.” I joke.
“You’re not stressed are you though? It’s not good for you or bub if you’re stressing.” He worries and I smile.
“I’m fine. How are you doing with Rosie?”
“Okay. I’m in group therapy now as well. I wish I could tell you everything but Rosie doesn’t want me to.” He sighs in dismay and I frown.
“Why?”
“She wants you to concentrate on you, and not worry about what’s going on with me.”
“But I don’t understand why.”
“I’m sorry baby, neither do I.”
“Well okay, if that’s what she wants.” I sigh in confusion.
“How are you doing? Have you met with Maya yet?”
“Yeah, it’s weird you know? Starting all over again with a new doctor but she’s nice. I like her. Ma came to the session.” I trail off.
“How did that go?”
“If I said it went well I’d be lying.” I sigh.
“What happened?”
“We’ll talk about it tomorrow okay? You’ll be there?” I ask again for my own piece of mind.
“Not even your mother could stop me. I love you.”
“Love you too, I’ll see you tomorrow. Try and get some sleep, you sound tired.”
“I’ll try. Give Ava a kiss for me.”
“I will, night Dom.”
“Night Let.”
