Lawyer’s office
Dom’s POV
“O’Conner do I have to beat your ass for this? What the fuck are you doing out of hospital?” Charlotte demanded angrily as she stormed up to us outside the office.
“Chill woman, I didn’t bust him out or anything. He signed himself out, I didn’t know until about half an hour ago.” Brian snapped back at Charlotte.
“You’re an idiot.” Charlotte huffed at me, hands folded across her chest as she shot me daggers. I just smiled and shrugged.
“I wanted to be home with Letty and Ava, is that a crime?” I asked seriously.
“I have a good mind to put you back into hospital but Letty would kill me if I hurt you any more then you already are.” She muttered.
“Lucky for me.” I muttered as we followed her into the office.
“Ah Mr Toretto, Mr O’Conner and Miss Henderson, we’ve been expecting you. Right this way please.” Brian and Lotty gave me curious looks as we followed the female receptionist towards an office.
“Mrs Sampson, your one O’clock is here.”
“Thank you send them in.” I smiled politely to the receptionist as she let us into the room before closing the door. I turned my attention to the woman behind the desk and smiled politely.
“Thank you for seeing us on short notice.”
“My pleasure, I had a cancelled meeting so I was able to fit you right in. Now what I can I help you with today?” She asked brightly looking between the three of us.
“I have a couple of deeds I need to sort out. Just change of names and the like.” I shrugged still not giving too much away.
“Of course that’s no problem at all. As you know I handled all of your dad’s affairs so I have copies of everything we need here, all I need to proof of the originals.” I nodded and looked to Charlotte who reluctantly handed over a large yellow envelope.
“Perfect, let’s go through this one at a time. Where should we start first?” She asked looking expectantly at me and I smiled, glancing at Brian out of the corner of my eye.
“Let’s start with the garage.”

DT’s Garage
Letty’s POV
“That woman looks… friendly enough?” I spoke as I pointed out a counsellor on the screen.
“She’s a psychiatrist too. That may be handy?” Mia asked and I bit my lip as I read her profile.
“Yeah, I think I like the look of her.” I spoke relieved as I fell further backwards into my chair.
“That’s great Let, look we’ll print out all of her details and you can keep them safe until you want to use them. And if you do decide to meet with her and you don’t like her we can pick another one.”
“Okay. Hey Mia?” I asked as she hit print and stood, walking over to the printer to collect the sheet of paper.
“Yeah?”
“Thank you.” I spoke honestly.
“Aww Let you don’t need to thank me.” She spoke pulling me into a hug. I smiled as I hugged her back. I had gotten better with this, with other peoples touch.
“You should-“
“Go home, yeah yeah I know.” I rolled my eyes as I pulled away.
“Yes you should. Besides I’m on my way home anyway, Lexi needs a nap and Ava crashed long ago. You should at least put her to bed.” I sighed but knew Mia was right. Ava had had so much fun in the garage today that she had just crashed out so suddenly. Leon had had her in his arms, talking her through how to change a fan belt when suddenly she just crashed. Everyone had had a laugh about it.
“You’re right I should get her home. Let her sleep before we visit Dom tonight.”
“Mind if I come with you tonight? I haven’t been for a day or so, he probably thinks I’ve abandoned him.” She laughed and I smiled.
“Sure, but I warn you he’s sulky and cranky and… I haven’t told him about the garage or the shop yet…” I admitted. Her eyes widened and immediately her hands were on her hips.
“Letty, what happened to no secrets?” She asked jokingly. I let out a laugh and shrugged.
“Because I know the minute I tell him he’ll be in here instead of resting.”
“Good point, no harm leaving him in the dark for now.” She winked before leaving the office.
I bit my lip as I looked down at the name and contact number in my hand. It’s something I know I need to do and Mia’s suggestion of couples counselling has definitely been weighing on my mind. All I need to do now is talk to Dom.

Toretto House
Dom’s POV
Brian hadn’t stopped pacing since we got back from the lawyers and as for Charlotte, well, I was wondering if she was going to be able to keep my secret. I rolled my eyes from my spot on the couch and glared at Brian, making him stop before I turned my attention to Lotty.
“Can you stop jumping around like a two year? Ava sits quieter then you do.” I muttered as she sat down on the couch opposite me.
“I’m sorry but…. Dom this is HUGE! I can’t keep this kind of a secret from Letty.” She whined.
“Yes you can and you will. You too O’Conner.”
“Bro let me process one thing at a time. Right now I’m still trying to process that you just made me a partner for the garage. Partner… as in co-ownership. And the house. Not a house but this HOUSE! Have you been drugged?” He asked dazed.
“Not this week.” I joked as he sent me a glare.
“Man you’re my brother, regardless of your marriage to my sister. I never expected to have the garage back, or the house. This was all Hobbs’ doing. I had thought maybe we would open one up together but this is just as good. We can set out a new plan, a legit plan, about how to make this a successful business.” I explained and he paused, turning his head to look at me.
“No more illegal activity.” Brian muttered in acceptance and I nodded.
“Exactly.”
“And the name change?”
“DT’s isn’t exactly a partner name. Besides we came here for a new start, figured a name change would help with that.” I shrugged.
“Any suggestions?” He asked and I shrugged.
“We’ll think of something, we don’t have to decide right away. From the sounds of things its not as if we could open for business as of tomorrow anyway.”
‘Nah, it needs a bit of work. We need to find suppliers, clients… Tej could help with that.” Brian muttered to himself and I smiled.
“As for you…” I rounded on Lotty and she sighed.
“I won’t tell her, no matter how much I want to. She’s going to… actually I don’t know how she’ll react.” She muttered.
“She’ll be fine. She’ll probably burst in tears, then throw herself at Dom and we won’t see either of them for about a month.” Brian joked as I shot a glare his way.
“Thank you Dom, for the garage but most of all for the house. It’ll mean the world to Mia.” I smiled and nodded as we shook hands yet again. I had spent all week thinking about my childhood home and as much as I loved it here, it wasn’t where I wanted to raise my family. For Mia though I knew it was perfect. She loved it too much to part with, so as a belated wedding gift I took care of what had been left of the mortgage and handed the deed and title over to Brian. This was their home now, one they could raise their family in. But for Letty and I, and our ever growing family, we needed a clean slate. Somewhere we could really call ours and not have any of the old baggage hanging over our heads. My only hope was that Lotty could keep her mouth shut long enough for me to pull it all off.
